Last week, movie star and football (thats soccer to you yanks) player Vinnie Jones started a brawl in a South Dakota bar with two of the patrons. Jones, who was intoxicated at the time of the fight, was waiting for a pool table being used by locals Juan Barrera and Jesse Bickett. During the altercation, which was allegedly started by Jones, Jones was smashed in the face with a beer glass by Bickett. Undeterred by the blood streaming from his face, Jones continued to beat the hell out of Barrera.
Think of any of the multiple scenes in a Guy Ritchie movie where Jones beats the hell out of some poor hooligan. Now apply that image of the snarling and enraged Jones to the real world.
Currently, Jones has been charged with three counts of simple assault. If Jones is found guilty of all three, he could face up to $2000 in fines and a year in jail. There has been no word from Jones criminal defense representation or if the Barrera and Bickett plan to file a personal injury lawsuit.

Poor Floyd Mayweather Jr. While the undefeated boxer was out, a brazen gentleman decked out like the Unabomber broke into his Las Vegas home and stole his bling. Right from his crib! What kind of world are we living in when a man’s $7 million dollar jewelry (compensating for something? just sayin’…) is not safe from some hooligan?
The Las Vegas Police are now hoping that someone will recognize the perp (see above still from a security cam) and help put him behind bars.

A-Rod plans to hold his wife Cynthia to their prenup arrangement, which is said to be heavily in Alexander’s favor, and calls the allegations of infidelity “immaterial and impertinent” to the divorce, though he does not deny that they are true. A-Rod has already said that he will pay child support to their two kids.

A-Rod Divorce Attorney Ira Elegant
Ira Elegant is a Miami and Fort Lauderdale divorce attorney who has been representing Alex Rodriguez in his divorce proceedings. Elegant has just requested to withdraw from the case, stating that Rodriguez “has more than enough attorneys representing him in this action.” Rodriguez picked up two new attorneys, Cynthia Greene and Laura Davis Smith, for his case earlier this week.
Elegant had previously represented Shaquille O’Neal in his divorce.

Matt Jones Mugshot
Matt Jones, receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was arrested in Arkansas this morning, July 10th, for possession of a controlled substance.
When police officers approached the vehicle he was sitting in and saw him chopping up and scraping together a white powder with a credit card, he was ordered out of the car. After disregarding the initial order, police drew guns on Jones and at that time Jones complied. A police report also noted Jones stated that the substance was cocaine (a test later proved the statement correct).
Jones was booked into the Washington County Detention Center, along with two other men that were in the car. It is unclear at this time why Jones, who was quarterback for the University of Alabama, is in the state.
