Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife of seventeen years Tish filed for divorce in Tennessee Court on October 26th. The couple, who have five children including Miley Cyrus, cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
The pair released a statement saying:
As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
In the divorce papers, Billy Ray is seeking shared custody of their three minor children. Additionally, Billy Ray is seeking “equitable distribution of the marital estate” and for the court to approve a “parenting plan” that would need to be signed by both Tish and Billy Ray.

Terminator 2 and Brainscan star Eddie Furlong has been handed divorce papers as well from wife Rachael Bella.
Bella and Furlong were married for almost three years. The documents state that Bella will be seeking joint custody of their two-year old son as well as spousal support.

The pair were married two years ago, and have a one-year old daughter.

Naveen Andrews Gains Custody of Son
Naveen Andrews, star of “Lost”, has gained sole physical and legal custody of his three-year old son Naveen Joshua in L.A. County Superior Court yesterday. Naveen Joshua was previously in joint custody with Andrews and mother Elena Eustache, but when Eustache allegedly took her son out of L.A. County without permission and is claimed to have kept her son away from Andrews, the family law judge modified the custody order.
Under this new order, Andrews can now bring his son to Hawaii where “Lost” is filmed. Andrews’ girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, was also granted the right to accompany the boy. A full custody hearing is scheduled for next month.

Rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, was given a final ruling in his child custody case concerning his son Marquise. Jackson wanted two weekends a month with him, but has agreed to a judge’s awarding of one weekend. He will also receive one month during the summer and half of his winter and spring breaks during the school year.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie Planning Divorce
Its been a strange journey for Madonna and movie director husband Guy Ritchie, but now word is out that the two are planning to get divorced.
For now neither of the celeb’s representatives have made official statements, nor have any divorce attorneys made any remarks.

Hayden Panettiere in Middle of Domestic Violence Case
A family law judge in the domestic violence case against Alan Panettiere, father of Hayden, is the real “hero” today, as he has filed an order of protection against him for the misdemeanor battery charges he is facing from an alleged fight with his wife in August.
The protection order states that Alan is not to “harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk [or] molest” Lesley. Alan is due in court for the actual arraignment on December 11th and remains free on $50,000 bail.

Sharon Stone in her classic Basic Instinct role.
A judge has granted “permanent sole physical custody” of Sharon Stone’s adopted son Roan to her ex-husband Phil Bronstein after a request through her family law attorney for the custody agreement to be changed was denied.
The judge has stated that this new agreement is permanent unless either Bronstein moves closer to Los Angeles or Stone moves closer to San Francisco. Stone has retained custody of her two other adopted sons.

Damon Dash is fighting a family law custody battle with ex-wife Linda Williams over their son Damon Dash II. Dash has not seen his son in four weeks after Williams pick up the boy for a weekend visit and never returned him. The child’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
A recent court order filed against Williams to return Dash II was ignored, and now the judge has ordered a bench warrant to bring Williams in.
