Tiger Woods Fined for Single-Car Accident Thanksgiving Weekend
Tiger Woods was fined $164 dollars for careless driving as a result of his single-car accident with a fire hydrant early Friday morning, November 27th near his home that caused some extensive front-end damage to his Cadillac SUV. The fire hydrant wasn’t the only thing that damaged his car, as his wife Elin Nordegren used a wedge to smash out two of the windows. While it was most likely one of Tiger’s wedges, it is entirely possible for it to have been one of Nordegren’s womens golf clubs.
Though Woods has already paid the $164 dollar fine, the Orange County Utilities Department also plans to bill Woods for repair costs including:
- $84 for pickup of smashed hydrant
- $447 to replace, repair, and paint the new hydrant
– Sod replacement (amount currently undetermined).
The property damage was initially estimated to be $3000.
