TV Actor Gary Collins Charged for DUI in Santa Barbara

70-year old Gary Collins was arrested on January 31st in Santa Barbara California for a DUI after being pulled over for erratic driving.
Collins is reported to have blown a .29 blood alcohol content level, over four times the limit in California. Collins has been officially charged with a DUI and for driving with a BAC of .08 or higher. There is no word if Collins has a drunk driving charges lawyer or if they will make a statement.
Collins has been previously served jail time for a prior DUI charge.
Is it this his 2nd? I wonder if he will get jail time since he did not learn after the first time and I bet he pleaded with the judge saying this will never happen again

At first blush… I mean the man is 70 years old. “erratic driving” might quite be common place at such advanced years. It’s a shame though. I don’t understand why these actors don’t just hire drivers. Even if it is just for an evening out to enjoy one’s self. But, then again, I’m neither rich nor famous.

When are people going to stop driving drunk?
My daughter,Sandy was killed in June, 2005 by a drunk driver
His blood alcohol level was .23, way too high to be driving.
She left a 15 yr. old son for us to finish raising. Driving
can ruin so many lives, so stop doing it.
Drunk driving + plus auto = LETHAL WEAPON !!!!
